Nasty front end damage!


No engine either and the back end is sagged as well.

You might well be right Motec.

Look at the damage to the front of the 6.9 no engine fitted and the hydraulic suspension looks to be a right mess.

Tim Mark has paid less for ones in better condition. I paid just over 8k for my car.

Why they removed the engine I have no idea.... Maybe it was for another project and they changed their minds and decided to sell the lot?

Personally I'd be interested in the struts and valves but not at that price. However if it's complete and rust free it could make a decent car. The damage doesn't appear to be terminal

What are your plans with the 6.9 now you have bought the car Oversize?

As a matter of interest, I used to 'save' many Rovers in years gone by - it kept me going financially, alas the millionaire tag has eluded me so far. Haha! Yep I'm truly mad but it's hard to resist one going cheap if it's not totalled. The sills have already been replaced and the paint is good. Some big coin was spent on the car over the years and the struts appear pristine. After the collision the engine and trans were removed with a view to repair the car. But storage became an issue and the repairs were too daunting for the PO. There's some visible rust around the bonnet hinges and some in the RH wheel arch below the booster. Certainly not as bad as some I've seen.

The worst part about the car is the firewall has rusted in the usual place near the bonnet release cable. The PO left the car in the weather and water got inside. This has made the interior mouldy and probably not much of it can be saved. I'm lucky that I have enough spares to return it to it's former glory, including a complete interior.

Settlement is 14th November and I'll be starting to move 1st November. I will only consider houses with big sheds....
