Just received my Renewal for 2015 VW Golf. Up $190 something from last year.
Quotes all over the place . best by far NRMA for $547. I arranged the cover at the Chatswood Office which was cheaper than their online Quote.
But the renewal for my C Class 2010 was much higher with NRMA.
Also, when I sold my 107 NRMA cost $120 Comp. for a country Town new owner.
Let he Buyer beware!!!
It seems we now live in a Persian Market Place , bargain for everything.

It's always been like that Sean.
Look around for the best deal, unless you have special insurance (vintage, classic, etc.) with either NRMA or Shannons.
These are the best if you have one or more older vehicles insured with them and they allow you to insure new ones at a special rate.
