    Transmissons move on

Sean, a great observation on your part. Most new transmissions are load sensing, plus grade sensing by a micro gyroscope. Today's cars and trucks are fully controlled by the transmission, based on these inputs from your right foot, and feedback from the engine and exhaust management systems. We...

Great posts mate. I agree, classic cars just don’t suit window tint (or LED interior lights🙄) A terrific result with the headlights mate. Any pics from the drivers seat new v old? The car show is tops as always from you, the stand out there for me is the Magna wagon! 🥰

    Tyres

Thanks for clarifying this mate, understood. Fun fact. Australian trucks now have new 2025 ADR‘s about safety systems and stability control, so the government knows these systems are weighty, so we are now allowed to go to 7000kg (from 6500kg), on the 2 steer tyres tyres. (or front axle) To...

What is so special about the 6.9 that requires specialised tyres Mark?

    Tyres

Just be careful not to fit too wide a tyre to the rim, otherwise there may be too much flex in the sidewall that produces friction and heat.

    Tyres

Just don’t fit LT (light truck) tyres to any passenger car. There are now some specialised SUV tyres out there that have a good load rating, but don’t have super stiff sidewalls like LT tyres have, so the ride is much better. A lot of EV’s (being quite heavy) now run these SUV rated tyres. My...

They sold it off in 2006 after owning it for 35 years, along with Hummer and many other companies just before the GFC. It’s now wholly Japanese owned again. Some great cars and trucks and vans came from Isuzu badged as Bedfords & Holdens. The earliest car I remember that was an Isuzu, badged as...

Thank you sir. It‘s been a busy couple of weeks, plus being exposed to a huge model range that is still under wraps at the moment gave me a few headaches, but it‘s Saturday now, so I can reflect, get ready for next week, and buy some industrial size Panadol  Here are some images of my new...

Many thanks gents. Retirement still sounds great. Not too many big rigs in these brands, however still plenty to haul with these ones.
