Yes much better.
Before it would not be very happy when cold. resistance in reverse and it would erractically shift at times, sometimes smoothly, sometimes banging into gear. Not it works really well.

I'm not sure either, but the PRV 6 that was in the Delorean wasn't the best performer, so it wouldn't surprise me if this is a custom job. That engine looks pretty big, so wouldn't surprise me if its a V8 conversion.
The nice early 280SE is back on Lloyds. It obviously did not make its reserve.
