    Car of the week

The ultimate in 80s bling, the Trasco 1000SEL. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/273894398841 Despite many assuming it had a 10l engine, the 1000SEL was mechanically a 500SEL, but I think the name came from it being twice as good or something like that. THis one looks like it was dragged out of...

    Car of the week

This SEC is the more desirable Series 2, but most people will assume its a series 1 as we didn't get the series 2 until 1986, whereas in Europe it was available late 1985. It is in the very popular 199 Blue/Black, and it has nice AMG wheels. I don't like the smoked tail lenses but they are...

    Car of the week

Good luck with the car, seems like the seller isn't in a big rush to sell. As this is the 500th post of this thread, here is a rather nice looking 500SE: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/dubbo/cars-vans-utes/1984-500se-mercedes-benz-v8/1216946452

Carobu Engineering - 560 Dyno Testing

There is a company in the USA who is doing interesting Dyno testing on a M117 560. https://www.facebook.com/Carobuengineering/ This is an average mileage USA spec engine (same as AU). The first thing they noticed was that they needed to recondition the heads as the valve guides were worn...

    Car of the week

Question for Brian, why is this not valued any more than a Regular Bentley Mark VI? I know the Mark VI is not the most desirable Bentley, but my assumption would be a coachbuilt model from a reputable coachbuilder would have been worth more. This body looks much nicer than the normal MK VI...

    The Rover P5/P5B

This was for sale a few months back and featured on this thread: http://www.topklasse.org/forums/showpost.php?p=71193&postcount=108 The previous ad had more photos. the exterior is excellent but I wans't particularly impressed with the seats. Still, for a coupe in NZ$ the price is quite good.

    Car of the week

You can avoid the SBC brakes if you only buy certain years. Helmet outlined them on the s211 thread when I purchased that car. He mentioned it was in 2007 that they were deleted. http://www.topklasse.org/forums/showpost.php?p=64924&postcount=6
