That's one formidable machine! I can vouch for the wonderful feeling i get every time I drive my newly purchased R230 SL. As much as I love driving either of my CLK, the SL is in a league of its own.

Great find! American cars have had rust repair panels offered for years. Some US cars can have almost the whole body available in rust repair panels. Let's hope they also make an SEL sill replacement panel.

This is quite ironic as I've had the timing chain and 'accessories' on my 500SL AMG replaced in the last few days. Labour is not cheap (several hundreds of dollars), but I don't feel confident nor do i have the time and place to do it.:rolleyes:

The convertible I bought a few weeks ago was very cheap... If one is not desperate for four doors, these are modern and very reliable cars.

Monday morning and Jerry has been busy. The W140 is in the booth, ready to be painted today.

Well, Jerry has been busy panel beating and repairing the minor dents that were around. The ‘Ghost’ (as the Lebanese Benz lovers like to call the W140) is in the Spraybooth to paint the bumper bars and the lower section of the body. Here are some pics prior to that.

Now that would make the world of difference, but would a W210 gearbox handle the torque of a 6.9?

I guess I couldn't let this one pass, although this model is probably the one I least like or desire, but it was too good to let go, at least on paper and in the photo. It has books from new and could do with a bit of body work and a respray. Time will tell if I made the right decision. I'll...
