The project continues.... I’m picking up the rails as soon as our lockdown ends! I’ve spoken to the CNC machinist who will be making the base plates etc & the work will hopefully commence soon. I’m dropping off scale drawings & original manifold when permitted.

Just when I thought 2021 couldn’t get a lot worse, I get news the owner of my shed is selling. I’m on the move again over the next few months. Oh the joy!!

I would suggest his Son-in-Law would have the car/s since he was partly responsible for the purchase. They may pop up for sale at some time in the future, but that would likely be after the grieving process, which can take years.... Hopefully they’re stored safely in the meantime.

Yes it will be once I get it running on it’s own fuel system. Looks like the tank screen is partly blocked, so I’m pulling the tank. Then checking the pumps & flushing out the system. I’ve confirmed it does run with fuel poured into the intake, so the engine turns over & the ignition functions.

Thanks!! Actually the before condition was worse than I indicated... I had to attack it with flyspray (re spiders) & the vacuum cleaner first!

I have a set of 17” Oz Aero 3 piece wheels, but they need a lot of work ($) before they’d be good enough to fit! 270hp isn’t too bad so we’ll see if I can get it running. The FD was removed by the PO for some reason & he didn’t know what he was doing so it might be a challenge. Ultimately I...

I’ll get some better after shots when I’m able! BTW I’ve been told by a very reliable source that SEC & SEL fuel tanks are the same. Might come in handy if this ones horribly rusted on the inside. Lucky I have a few spares!

Here’s the one I’m selling before & after a thorough clean. Scrubbed up pretty well considering! All wheel arches were pressure washed with the wheels off. Unfortunately I forgot to take after pix of them after, but it was getting dark after spending most of the day on it. Afterwards I struggled...

She really was a mess!! All vacuumed up now & awaiting a full pressure wash after an oil & filter change. 16” AMGs recently fitted with aftermarket revised wheel bolts, but the wheels probably won’t be my final choice.

That’s always the problem! No help & no second pair of hands readily available... Although the neighbours came to the rescue not long ago!
