This car was very nearly my first Benz, however I backed out and decided a 6.9 would be a better option for my Buick project. I wonder if this car survives today?

I loved the machine-turned trim in this SLK when I first saw it and I still love it now, since it is also a feature on my 57 Buick... Pictures taken when I was servicing the car. Sadly it was later written off by a subsequent owner when it lost an argument with a concrete barrier....

Well I took a lot of pix and couldn't post them until now, since I had to download them from my video camera. I couldn't use my phone, since it's full of old pix that I don't have time to copy, or delete; time for a new phone I think (which will have a better camera)... At least the video...

Spotted this special car at Motorex 2023! I believe it's the same car Brabham used in the demo race with Fangio at Sandown 10/09/1978, which was the day before Fangio helped release the Aussie 6.9 to the media.

Digging through some old pix now!! I’d been trying to find these for years.... Skye not long after purchase (13/04/2003). This was just before I transitioned to a digital camera, so the next ones will be better quality.
