    W126 self leveling struts

What is everyone doing for self leveling struts on the w126 and other models of the era (W123, W116 etc)? Mercedes Australia equipped the lions share of the cars with self levelling suspension, and my understanding is that at least the W126 struts have been NLA for a couple of years now...

    420SEL vs 560SEL

and here is a 1991 price list, I think by then there were a few more things standard on the top models like Airbags, ASR and the like, but I do not have a brochure from that year.

    W126 Tutorials

There are some really good tutorials here on the W124 500E board. For one reason or another they have a sub board for the C126 coupes and have some great tutorials. Many of these tutorials are equally applicable to the sedan...

    C107's 560SEL

Today I had a quick look at the reclining rear seat. It comes out with two 10mm bolts. there was nothing jammed in the mechanism, the fuses were intact and the motor was plugged in. I could not year the motor try to move at all when I pressed the button on either side. Next step is to...

    C107's 560SEL

Garage should be good. It was a stupid design that was actually quite large, but due to strange shaped internal walls could only fit 1.8 cars in a space that should have been ok for three. I designed it so three cars will fit in properly and you don't need to do a forty point turn getting in...

    C107's 560SEL

    C107's 560SEL

This is the stuff to be specific. I would normally buy one bottle of the cleaner for every four of the conditioner.

    C107's 560SEL

Had a quick look under the car, the kidney mufflers are new and there there is zero rust. I replaced an exhaust hanger and a shift bushing. Need one more exhaust hanger. The suspension has been done by pedders at some point. I didn't have a chance to look more closely to see the brand of...

    C107's 560SEL

This car was introduced in the COVID19 projects thread, but I thought it would be worth starting a specific thread on this car. I had to go to the shops today so I went and got the 560 to give it a further drive and take some better photos. Some more thoughts are here...

    Car of the week

This is a pre-merger AMG SLC in a double green livery. These cars are starting to fetch real money although I am not convinced that AMG had much do with some of the mods outside the body kit. It doesn't have the cohesiveness of Michel's 107 AMG. They also mention a different diff ratio...

    Car of the week

He is right about only about 5000 made. The rare one is the long wheelbase version (not 300SEL, but 300SE Lang) though. The prices quoted are silly though. The valuable one is the 300SE Cabriolet and to a lesser extent coupe. Even the long wheelbase four door is not even close to that value.

    Used Hatchback/Wagon

My brother in law had his car written off in the big storms recently. He has a budget of 18k to spend and is looking for a big hatch or small station wagon. He is looking at cars that are a couple of years old. Previously he had a corolla and if Toyota brought the wagon version in that...
