Indeed - but I jest. In all seriousness, Benz Estates are probably the best balanced design that MB has ever produced. There is an elegance to the lines that is superior to many of the sedans.

Hmm - initially I looked at the blue Estate and thought that the amount of stripping to replace tail gate struts was perhaps a trifle excessive....

The 306 GTi6 has gone to a new owner who wanted to complete his collection of Peugeot GTis. He will now have the complete set.
I guess I will need to change my tag line. It might need to become "Real men drive a crash box manual" but we need to wait and see. I am in no great hurry...

Many of our Australian rebuilders are retiring and not being replaced. Sad indeed.

You might want to look at suspension wear - the Territory is generally known to ride very well. My ML glides over speed humps but it does have what I call the "camel effect". That is, it's high up and has long suspension travel so it can cause a to and fro movement.

A friend of mine who is a leather-worker (and owns a Cloud III and a Shadow) swears by Oakwood which is easy to get from Horseland.
I find it a bit sticky but again its a matter of letting it soak in and then buffing.

Ps; if you are concerned about aroma stick an open bottle of...
I use Leatherique leather Rejuvenator oil. It is best applied thickly and then let the car sit in the sun for a day or so before you buff it. http://www.leatherique.com.au/
Ge-why is great for very dry leather. https://www.ge-wy.com/
The main thing is to get the oils into the leather to soften...
