    W126 500SEL full hydro???

Just found this old thread. This is a factory option, it uses petrol to heat the cabin of the car by heating the coolant. Was never offered in Australia for obvious reasons.

    C107's 1981 240D W123

As I posted in the Projects Thread, I recently purchased a 1981 240D. I wasn't really looking one, but this super original car fell into my lap and I couldn't say no to it. I've been enjoying driving it so far as its a good contrast from my other cars.

    Car of the week

This is one of the nicest W114s I've seen in many years: https://www.carbids.com.au/c/allbids-car-auctions/classic-unique-sports/12-1970-mercedes-benz-230-w114-4d-sedan-cream-23-1528787 Looks like original plates and still has the AWA radio that would have been dealer fitted.

Good luck with the project. Hopefully from the other cars you had, you'll have plenty of spares to aid you in the restoration.

    My 1965 250SE Cabriolet

Did an upgrade to the Radio over the weekend. Even though I can't put a slimline radio in, at least I can use the knobs from one. https://www.classicjalopy.com/2024/03/w111-becker-grand-prix-stereo/

    My 1965 250SE Cabriolet

I managed to get a good used pulley and have it installed, so the car is back on the road. I also learned something about the car I never knew. It has a coolant/oil heat exchanger. https://www.classicjalopy.com/2024/03/m129-heat-exchanger/

No, but it was up on carsales for a while before it went to auction. On the surface, it looks pretty good.
