We’ve lost another legend. :( And a freaky thing happened today....

From what I’ve heard Bob was the Australian AMG Distributor pre-merger...

Well I don’t know if anyone believes in the spirit world, but the weird thing was I was driving home and about 12.30pm I drove past what I’ve always thought was Bob’s place and I wondered what he knew about the 1978 Sandown race and if he could shed any light on Fangio. So I thought my ex might have his contact details and I should contact her. I got distracted driving and thought I’ll do it later. I get home and turn on the TV to get an update on the AFL GF. Then a news break comes on saying Bob passed away. I nearly fell off my chair....

I met him years ago in LaPorchetta, Watergardens Shopping Centre in Sydenham and just thought he was a rich and arrogant older gent with whom I couldn’t relate. If only I knew then what I know now... Bugger, blast, dammit!

Moral of the story is ask heaps of questions of the previous generations and cherish their experiences and memories cause you never know when they won’t be around to respond. :(
