The sensor on both my 450SEL and the 6.9 are 100/95 degree units, which I find interesting.

My 6.9 overheating

My Aux fan kicked in 2 weeks ago coming back from Sydney. Didnt kick in till I stopped half-way back and it was a 37deg day. Engine temp was over 100, not by much.
Wasn't really noisy, and was only noticeable with the engine off.
Just back to Thermostats, I have the old one removed from the old 6.9 engine today. Not sure what temp it is rated at.
If someone has part numbers, or there is a way to tell the difference between the temp ratings - please advise?. I'd like to put one in before dropping the donk in tomorrow. Just not 100% if I should go for an 80 or 85deg one. What is standard?
Note: Euro engine, no suspension, no A/C.

The temp rating of the thermostat should be marked on the thermostat itself.
