Local BP the price for 98 Octane was $1.60 and 95 Octane $1.50

10 cents per litre extra for the PULP 98.

Just need to look around Tim . Or just buy from Caltex/Woolworths its the same fuel. Caltex is the only Refinery in N.S.W and every service station in N.S.W buys from them. In W.A its B.P.

No problem I used to drive delivery truck for Mobil. As you can with so few refinery's they on sell to other retailers. I used to deliver in Canberra to everyone including Shell & BP.

My local service station is a Caltex and the highest they sell is 95Ron

Well the 10c difference simply means $176 for a total fill of the SSII compared to $165. Nothing significant if you say it quickly. To put it another way, if I fill both the SSII and the PV at the same time it is only $352 compared to $330.
Maybe I do need to buy a small oil producing state in the Middle East .... there could be some going cheaply soon.

As I said they all get fuel from same suppliers . Only difference is what service station owner wants to stock.

I have a Woolies staff card, courtesy of my daughter who works at Woolies, so I don't need Woolies shopper dockets to get my 4 cents / litre off petrol.

So I shop at IGA instead, where the grocery prices are cheaper than Woolies prices, WITH the 5% discount! I include my shopping at IGA with a friend, who gets a 5% discount at IGA, for buying petrol from a local independant servo.

Nevertheless, the IGA prices are cheaper than Woollies, WITHOUT the local servo petrol discount!

Great stuff, when I need to buy 50 litres plus of 98 octane, for the 6.9, but that doesn't happen often; I only drive the 6.9 about 2,000 kilometres per year.
I get the fuel discount for my drive car anyway.

I know it's off topic, but IGA cheaper than Woolworth ? I have some doubt. It would be more like " almost as expensive". The mob you've got to watch is Dad's weekend playground", namely Bunnings. Just get away from the most obvious of products (you know that scream at you to buy them), but when you get a bit deeper down the less "glamorous goods" and boy, you know you're being hit for six.

Bunnings and Masters are special buys only. I remember Aldi as being good for the big 2 it keeps them honest which is sadly missing over in the West. But hopefully after February next year the west will no longer be a problem for me.

Bet it's a lot more than 10 cents bw 91 and 95.... I view 98 much better than 95 because I believe 95 is used less & has a higher chance of contaminants

Highly likely . I wonder how many cars that are required to only use premium unleaded that owners don't especially now they are old like 90's VW all models and Peugeot they needed 95 as the minimum .

Still off the topic. Son in Law, a freelance Home maintenance Tradesman, mostly buys from Local Hardware, Bunning's have a "venerer" of low cost.
If you repeat something often enough, people will start to believe it, .... many examples in life.

You can tell its the weekend yesterday ULP was $1.27.9 today $1.43.4 . PULP and 98RON even more . But with fuel watch I new it was happening and still know who is cheapest. And filled up last night. And all servos cannot change before 6 AM.
