New ignition key for 450 sl

Do you have the data card? Mercedes may be able to cut one for you. They no longer sell ignition barrels for this model, but I think they can still cut keys if you have the key code. if you don't, they will charge you a highway robbery fee to access the data card.

    The Rover P5/P5B

I had a look in some of my Jag books. They are called GKN Kent wheels and they were available on the higher end Jags during the early XJS and Series II XJ. Here is an XJ12C that I photographed in the Jaguar heritage collection for example.

    C107's C107

Progress on the floors, have ground down the surface rust and treated with rust paint. Will cover with the 906 grey blue once properly dried. While I had the front seat out, got the rear seat bottom out to clean it properly.

    My (ancient) history with Rovers

That is quite the collection you had there! I bought a P5 MKIIc coupe from the Flynn auction a couple of years ago. While it was in a sorry state, you could see there was something special about the car and that a nice one would be a very nice place to be. In any case, parts from that car...

I think the winner is Nab and his 280S pulling the trailer. Congrats and good to see the car out and about!

    My Coupe

Sounds interesting. Much better a M119 than yet another LS swap.

    Removing hood pad 560SEC

You can do it as a one man job fairly easily. I've done it on two 126's this way. i used quite a thick adhesive to make this possible: Coupe: https://www.classicjalopy.com/2019/05/w126-bonnet-insulation/ Saloon: https://www.classicjalopy.com/2019/08/w126-sedan-bonnet-insulation/

    What’s better than a RUF 560SEC?

    Looks really good.

    My Coupe

That's a big improvement. really like the wheels. You mentioned their not final - what is your eventual wheel combo on this car? Just noticed your engine has the trimmer plug from the high comp engine so you can probably advance the timing a bit and get more performance out of it. With...
