I have to complement Styria and his master upholsterer Parks for a splendid job. Helmet's car looks magnificent. And here are some interior pics of the Red Terror (690SEL), when Styria and Parks redid it. I can never speak highly enough of the professionalism and quality of the work.

They might have been the most technologically advanced Benz of their time but they certainly do nothing for me on the 'looks' side. Never been a fan of the W140. Look at a W126 (a timeless classic) and what came after: how could M-B designers have gone so wrong! :eek: :eek: :eek: Sorry, but...

Took the old girl for a spin to recharge battery, fill with petrol and blow the cobwebs... She's still magical...:p

From all I heard and read, the W140 is apparently the most engineered Benz of its time and some say ever.... However, I'm also told that they are some of the most expensive to maintain; but I could not comment on that as i have not owned any. This said, I don't find that series attractive, same...
