    WTB W108/109 3.5

Welcome to the forum. Will keep an eye out. Are you happy with either a W108 or a W109? they are very different cars to own, so wanted to check. Generally people want one or the other. If you do go for a W109, make sure its not had a W108 interior fitted as it destroys the value when...

Auto Brunch Event - St Ives

More photos: https://www.classicjalopy.com/2022/11/auto-brunch-st-ives-november-2022/ I just moved my own site to a new hosting provider, and so far it seems quite a bit faster. If all goes well, I will move topklasse over close to our next renewal which I think is January.

Yes, fuel hoses, strainer, filter etc. Hopefully the tank is not too bad.

    Red Bull (5541)

Good write up of the work required and some of the issues of long term strorage of these cars. I would consider while you're doing all the brake work to replace the master cylinder. It will be just as bad as the rest and if the 6.9 uses the same one as the 450s isn't too expensive. you would...

    the great leap forward

My brother in law came to visit yesterday. He lives in Canberra and often had to travel for sydney for work. His employer prefers their staff not to drive their own cars when they are on the job, so he rents a car for these trips. He is not a car person and is normally quite satisfied with...

Auto Brunch Event - St Ives

I went yesterday. As always great event, pictures to follow soon. Was quite hazy as the SES were doing a controlled burn nearby.

    Red Bull (5541)

Looking good. What mechanical work is needed to get the car back on the road? Beyond the obvious of installing a battery.

    Car of the week

So few of these early 280S models survive in nice shape. Our member NAB has one in WA that is very nice. A lot to like about this car from a simplicity point of view. Bullet proof M110 engine, no power windows or sunroof to cause trouble. The carby M110 makes as much power as the later...

    560sec ece

Yes, steering significantly improved! Next on the list is rebuilding the SLS pump and a new valve. He didn't get a chance to rebuild the pump this time.

    560sec ece

Got the 560SEC back after a rebuilt steering box (was leaking) and the guide rod mount bushes. They actually looked alright, but the oil leak had been covering one of them and so It was recommended they were changed. I'm glad we did, as they had clearly been in since the car's time in the UK...
