None of the models before 76 came standard with a Becker, however they were more common on 450s. Most cars had dealer fitted radios.
The column shifting W116 is quite a rare option. It was never offered by the MB dealers here to my knowledge, although the two prime ministerial cars ordered by Gough Whitlam were column shifters.
Interesting video on 6.9 values. And I think Pierre is right, Mercedes making so many parts NLA is what is causing the value of these cars to lag other classics. People are scared off them.
