Confirmed today that the car for auction was originally a 450SLC with anti squat & not a 350

New pictures of the race cars have emerged. Seems there could’ve been up to 4 cars going by the numbers & livery….

The speedo head indicates it could be the same car. I heard it was originally built by an AMG dealer in the US however I’m not convinced since they wouldn’t create such a hideous speedo facia and one without the AMG logo…

I wonder if it’s even the same car or it was changed after this thread was posted?

Threads were eventually repaired by The Thread Dr who was good value for money when compared with the cost of the Bigsert kit ($600ish delivered)! EGR pipe has been removed, cut down & capped. Now I just have to clean up the fasteners, order a few more items & reassemble…
