    Car of the week

It is a good example of Park Ward design and a pity the original Zeiss headlamps have been lost/destroyed. A very deep pocket should see this on the road again. Bryce; it would be a challenge for you if you wanted to sharpen your engineering and body-building skills. Regards, Brian

Sean - I do not understand the problem. Mitsubishi advertises a 10 year warranty and 10 years of fixed price servicving if done at the official dealer. Is this what you have? If so, what is wrong with the deal...

    W116's sold here in Australia

On those prices, and using the Reserve Bank Inflation Calculator, a 1980 6.9 would cost $349,437.10 in 2021 excluding any other costs not known such as registration. Regards, Brian

I agree with Patrick on this. We had the E350 coupe treated with a ceramic glaze prior to delivery and 12 months down the track I have to admit I am convinced of its worth. The brand used by MB was https://motorone.com/protektiv-surface-coating/ I don't know if it makes the surface any harder...

As well as the baby Bissell that Bryce also has, I also have one of these which does extract a lot more; https://vacuumspares.com.au/numatic-george-gve370-wet-dry-vacuum-and-carpet-extractor/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7K3n4-mz-AIVipFmAh0BJQFKEAQYASABEgIE8vD_BwE Regards, Brian

    USA Junkyard visit

Heated seats and car alarm but no first aid kit or warning triangle. That's an interesting set of priorities. Looks like your trip was worthwhile with the bits you were able to salvage. Regards, Brian

Fabulous music of the era. So good I had to turn up the amp to near full power just so that wonderful base could rock the house. Each to his own I guess.... Regards, Brian

A picture is worth a thousand words; a video is thus worth a whole book. :) The swage line running through the centre of the front guards is a real GN trademark - although it was much copied by other coachbuilders as it reduced vibrations in the front guards. Regards, Brian

Lokks great. How do we know when it is on? It would make a nice TK event. Also a good excuse to get the PV out and about. Regards, Brian

    The new ML

I am quite happy with my ability to use and enjoy a manual gearbox - and there is a real satisfaction with being able to use a non-synchro box precisely and smoothly. Modern motorists simply do not experience the art and science of using such a box and most would not know how or when to change...

    MG Hybrids?

Well Sean, even Henry Royce himself made a kit car. The bodies were always left to the owner's choice of coachbuilder. That's just the way of specialisation. Regards, Brian
