    Patrick's Trucks ?

Great to see we are all on the same page Michel. Yes, fully agree the smaller the battery, the faster the discharge, based on what you are using. I love that we all love technology 😊 Great result re the AC Michel, new AC are definitely the way to go. I estimate that for my house, to use the AC...

    Patrick's Trucks ?

Sean, I didn’t cover your question about Volvo going full electric, and if they have shot themselves in the foot. To answer you fully, it needs a little explanation. Sorry for the lengthy explanation below. Their new C40 recharge model (based on their XC40) has a range of 418km. This is the...

    Patrick's Trucks ?

Sean, It’s always good to pass on things learned. I never thought much about the efficiency of appliances either, the kitchen fridge was the first item that brought new technology to my attention, and borrowing an in-line power usage meter, then it progressed from there. I know nothing about...

    Patrick's Trucks ?

What a terrific result with minimal input Brian. Great work. It’s nice to see that the homework we do pays off. We used the Daikin system also. Your usage of 0.61, is also very efficient. My place sits between 0.5-0.8 depending if both fridges cycle in together and a bit higher if we have the...

    Patrick's Trucks ?

Speaking of electric truck and cars, and now the soaring cost of electricity and gas, over the last 2 years I have been setting up my house to be very self sufficient, as possible getting ready for retirement which seems to be getting very close, very quickly 😫. As a basic rule, anything in a...

    Patrick's Trucks ?

Great questions Sean. No, it doesn’t fall in our ball park about Volvo cars, but it seems every man and his dog is actually ringing or emailing us to find out information as Volvo car are not easily contactable. However all of your questions do relate to us and other OEM’s of cars and trucks...

    the great leap forward

Probably the Haval Jolion or the now superseded H3. Pretty poor figures for engine power, but I can’t see a tare weight. I really don’t know why they offer small capacity petrol engines with bigger vehicles. Really need to be diesel. These are made by parent company Great Wall Motors...

No rivets anymore Sean, steel panels and composite materials that are welded or vulcanised. Like you said, extremely strong. Some Kenworth still run riveted cabs.

    the great leap forward

My 25 Chev had mechanical rod to external band type brakes to the back wheels only. It was very “character building” to drive if they got in any way hot. A mate of mine has a Pontiac Chieftain, V8 3 on the tree. Smooth as a babies bum.

    Patrick's Trucks ?

Gents, Thank you for bringing to my attention multi trailer trucks in the US. I’ve been working on heavy haul trucks for so long, I’ve missed these. Even though they do different jobs than ours, but still a very important role across America.
