Hybrid battery failed at 204000km car was 2 and a half years old. Even though out of warranty due to mileage Toyota replaced the battery free of charge . Other than that nothing has failed

It's really hard to fault a toyota for running costs in the first 10-15 years of the cars life. This is one area where they have Mercedes completely beat.

Some people say that the Mercedes is more complex, but a Camry Hybrid is a complex car and Toyota make it reliable.

That’s pretty Awesome, great that Toyota came to the party with some good Will.

Would have been interesting to see what the bill would have been for this job.

Yes C107, legendary reliability is a Toyota for sure.

How right you are Bryce... I find that mine is every bit as good as our 204 C Class. For the first 3 & 1/2 years I did not know who owned the C Class me or the Dealership. Today it is now 100% and drives as the maker designed .

8 year Battery Warranty, then only $2500 for another 8 years.....
An Auto Trans overhaul, most would not last that long would be 2 to 3 times the cost. The hybrid System in private use would be good for 2 battery lives. 500,000 Ks anyone ?

Yes and the First Generation had the old Belt System.. the current gen. 4 has two planetary gears Sets... no belts to wear. In fact no moving Parts... just two Electric Motors which Drive the Car and charge the Batteries and also act a Starter Motor for the ICE. No Belts for an Alternator or an Air Con Compressor.
and the Water Pump ? I don't know.
