It's a rare and unusual car, but that's half of its problems. Servicing and maintenance would place you in the hands of specialists as there would be no alternative. Also, I am looking at the price, Geoff - compare it with what CraigS paid for his Citroen, the same vintage. I know which way I would go. Besides, the Statesman has the 5.7 liter V8, and it's a well finished and developed car and servicing costs are reasonable.
I must admit to having a really soft spot for its brother (or sister) in the shape of the Rover 75 - a beautifully appointed car, lovely and elegant shape, but unfortunately the British press killed it from the outset. I think they are built in China now. Regards Styria
