Its done!
I was not able to get all of the pictures that I wanted, being alone to do this, and its pretty cold up here and snowing too.But I did install an insert (HeliCoil) on the oil filter housing. Not much room to drill from above so I had to go under the car and drill the hole to remove the old threading.I was lucky enough that I didn't have to buy a new HeliCoil kit since it was the same size and diameter as the one I did on my transmission oil pan last summer.http://benzguy.piczo.com/howtodothreadrepairsonTransmusinghelicoil?cr=7&linkvar=000044 In any case its a done deal,of course RED locktite was applied.Took less then an hour to complete the job but I had to wait about two hours before starting the engine, only to let the locktite set.

Hi BenzLover, I am going to be the first to dips my sombrero to you - a big "A" for effort in laying out in the cold (never nice at any time) and another huge "A" for posting all the pics with the splendid illustrations.

As from hereon in, you are being awarded with 'Topklasse"s first stripe to be proudly worn on your sleeve.

Seriously though, great work - it would have taken quite a bit of time 'AT' (!) your part (on) and I am also curious what photo programme you use to 'halve' the pictures. Best Regards Styria

Well thank you Sir.
The program that I use for storing and sharing my pictures with is this.
http://picasa.google.com/
Its a totally free program absolutely wonderful and supported by google. It does not discriminate with size of pictures and is so easy to use.
A word of caution for those who care about sharing pictures or not. When you do download this program,it will search your computer hard drive and store each and every photo by date, group etc.
let me know what you think.
By the way Sir,
Will I be able in the near future post files such as pictures or pdf files on this web site?
Best Regards
