Sitting in the back of a shed, registered and going well. A small amount of mechanical work to be done. Surface rust only. 139,000ks. Fair condition tan interior. All bits on the car. Fair price. Trouble is it is gold!!
Do I want it? Do I need it? Where would I park a 6.9? Where would I drive it?
Regards,
BenzBoy

Do I want it? - Of course you do.

Do I need it? - Of course not.

Where would I park a 6.9? - Out of the rain.

Where would I drive it? - everywhere.

You know you want it and it's only small change - when are you picking it up?:D

Make a marvellous tow car for your trips to concourse events with the RR.

Do I want it? - I think you do? do you?

Do I need it? - Of course not, but that is completely irrelevant

Where would I park a 6.9? - Is there such a thing as affordable lockup storage in Sydney?

Where would I drive it? - everywhere!

Go get it Benz Boy, if its a driveable bargain its a good starting point. If it's Icon Gold it will contrast well with Miss Olga.

I am developing the opinion that a 6.9 should be a 70's colour :

milan
ikon
byzantine
zypress
black (timeless)
citrus (if you are brave enough)

Aside of the obvious (milan, black and citrus), what are these colours?

zypress

ikon = ikon gold (I think the German ikon is equivalent to the english icon, as in those little religious pictures, many of which had that gold colour in the halos etc)

byzantine is a darker gold

zypress = zuprus = German for Cypress (the country) = a limey green

Dont forget Cayenne Orange. Rarely seen, but a definite 70's colour, and Inca Red another one of those in between colours (in between rusty red and a dark pink)

For a while now there's been a citrus green 450se on carpoint with AMG spoiler. Actually, Michel there's another 450se, also with AMG spoiler, that is the brightest reddest w116 I've ever seen, I think you'd like it Michel. Together these would make a great pidgeon pair. http://carpoint.com.au/used-cars/search.aspx?N=279 4294942924 4294898754 1426

But talking about 70's colours, like it or lump it, I always thought gold was the colour of the 70's:confused: The only other logical choice would be rainbow.

The following link could be of interest to those who have a hankering for a return to the 1970s - http://www.onethirtysecond.co.uk/resin/bl70s.php
My 1975 Lancia was Cascigne Green (a kind of Olive Green) with brown interior - brown seat, brown dash, brown carpet - all because Lancia research showed brown to be a relaxing colour.

Alternate spellings?
Icon Gold, Cypress Green, Byza........something else.
Anyway, what is wrong with a 6.9 in Gold?
I am fighting the temptation right now...........
