Honestly someone should write a book on the history of AMG and the development of the 6.3 and 6.9 after some thorough research. Unfortunately almost everything out there now has at least some inaccurate info, which destroys the credibility of the majority of the content.

AMG develop the 6.3 for RED PIG and won many races , MERCEDES BENZ bought AMG much later after the WINING of the 190 2.5-16 and the success afterwords.

NOW the AMG is the sportive arm of BENZ
