Not only do I think it is cute, but it also reeks of tradition and practicality. Surely the forerunner of today's SUVs - in fact, it appears to be much more versatile. I am sure that BenzBoy's Spitzes would feel right at home.

The 'Suburban' is an old name that Chevrolet has been using since the second world war.

It started (and remains) the 'wagon' version of the venerable 1/2 ton - 3/4 ton pick up such as the C20 or the F100.
Chevrolet simply found a way of 'closing the back' and doing a 'larger' wagon out of it.

I had a few Suburbans over the years and I loved driving them over long runs, especially my old green one that was fitted with a large diesel, tow bar and worked tirelessly towing cars intersate for me.
