    Ceramic paint treatment?

That's rather interesting with respect to magnetic retardation and why cars have not had that technology implemented. In electric motors, its effectively a form of F1 KERS? Could it be split between this and braking or the act of splitting would result in neither purpose being served properly...

    Ceramic paint treatment?

It appears that those hard, low dust pads at cooler temperatures requiring harder brake stomping have similar characteristics to ceramic brake pads?

    Rear Parcel Shelf

Hi Styria, You said it! That is my archilles heel. I can never hide anything from myself. Though I keep asking, where does it start and end? I love daily driving these beauties though I also love showroom fit and finish!

    Car of the week

Nice to see the Becker in it. Velour adds the luxury feel and was a rare option here in Australia? What are GAHH velour seat kits like? I've just fitted GAHH creme beige velour carpets with the same spec velour as overmats with the little rubber dimples as backing.

    Ceramic paint treatment?

Low dust pads seem the way to go. I have never spoken to a mechanic who advocates for such pads, presumably as they last too long? Having just had the wheels restored, I almost cringe before braking and use light braking where possible to avoid brake dust and dirtying the rims!

    Rust Repair Panels

I've noticed a few panels coming out of Poland which are reasonably affordable. Are they NOS genuine Mercedes or aftermarket? What do you make of the quality of steel in new panels as opposed to finding good secondhand panels?

    Ceramic paint treatment?

I have recently had my genuine Mercedes 14" alloy wheels refurbished (yes all 5 including the spare) together with genuine metal centres and a ceramic coating was applied over the top. I have cleaned the wheels once so far and with all the intricate details of the wheels, brake dust has just...

    Penta wheels for the C107

Pirellis even more expensive than Michelins. Good Lord! Setting cost to one side, I have found the Michelin XWX on the Mercedes alloy (Bundt) wheels to ride superbly. In my case, in choosing tyres, a few people I spoke with over the years have always sworn by Michelin XWX. It is certainly...

    Penta wheels for the C107

Nice rims and centres. Tyres - Dunlop make a "Classic" tyre. Is that an option? Has anyone had the opportunity to use them yet?

    Tyres

Agreed got to get mileage out of those tyres. I average probably 5-6000km per annum. An indulgence for me, I just enjoy marvelling at there beauty on the original bundt alloys and can do so for the next 10 odd years until the next set! I replaced my spare too! What size pentas do you have? I...

    Tyres

$573 per tyre. I justify it on the basis that I don't have a whole stable full of cars!

    Tyres

Gday Gentlemen, My car previously had Dunlop Sport LM703 205/70/14. Good value at $100 per corner but squealed like a pig around corners and roundabouts. Recently upgraded to Michelin XWX 205/70/14 from Stuckey Tyre Service of Melbourne. With stiff sidewalls, period correct look including the...
