Not your average car and certainly not imported in Australia. This E250 CDI is a UK import with factory 6 speed manual. It's been auctioned at Grays in Victoria where I believe it will go for next to nothing.

My W140, while not a 600, is a marvel of engineering! Fitted with the smallest of the V8s my 400SEL feels like riding in a sound proof box. Super quiet, extremely comfortable, you miss not ‘feeling’ the road and your environment.

I think I'll be in town. 🤔 Weather permitting I should be able to come along.

It's the sign of the times, especially in Germany, where manufacturing companies are closing local production and moving it to Eastern Europe or SE Asia.

A dealership is as we know the way cars are sold with showroom, service and spare parts. An outlet is a shop front only, pretty much like Tesla and Genesis sell cars.

Earlier this week, I attended the launch of the new Cadillac LYRIQ in Sydney. Built in Right Hand Drive, it is an impressive machine.

Let's put it this way. It's very drivable. I was apprehensive at first (the same when I got an SLS to test) but then it is so tractable and easy to drive (so was the SLS).

While I get a few cars to test drive throughout the year, I don't mention them all here. Only when it is a 'different' or unique vehicle do I report on it here. And this week, it certainly is different. It;s a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray running a 6.2 litre LT2 V8 engine pumping 369kW of...
