I thought I might start a new thread to specifically focus on the W126 hydro (series 2) suspension. This differs from the 6.9 and W126 series 1 systems and features adjustable damping, stiffening through corners and self lowering at high speed. I have 2 privately imported cars featuring this...

I've always loved the interiors of these cars but the exterior styling, low power options and electrical gremlins have put me off every time I've considered one...

OMG I'm in love! Can anyone identify the interior veneer in this early W116? Nicer than Walnut and more contemporary than Zebrano... Pity there's no timber trimmings in the center console or back seat and strange that these bigger images were pretty quick to upload.

Still mighty slow, but I can't bear to go lower!!

Lets try a lower resolution (640x480). I still like using the largest practical images since they're more rewarding to view.

I'm hoping we don't have the 'Photobucket problems' with Postimage in the future??? The following are 800x600 (15") images to compare the quality on your screen with the previous pix... Still slow!

Whilst it's great to be able to upload more than one image at once, it was rather slow so I might try a smaller size for the next set (this lost was for 17" monitors and I assume around 750kb ea once compressed) BTW I had a lens protector on for the first few hence the rounded corners...
