Retrofit LHD USA fan into RHD Hvac system

Nice write up Bill. I can also note that similar modifications are required for a W126 fan, but the W107 fan is the same as long as you get the one for cars without climate control.

    15x7 'Bundt' wheels from china

    The Rover P5/P5B

Here is a video of a rather nice P5 mkIII. This car is an automatic, but is in very nice condition: yFCLu_H_HRM

    The Rover P5/P5B

A few more pictures: The 1963 Mk IIa While all three cars are excellent this one (above) was my favourite. The 1965 Mk II C that belongs to Styria’s customer And the 1966 MkIII Compare to my car that will be a parts donor. It’s a 1965 Mk IIc Finally here is Styria’s P6 3500S...

    Car of the week

I spotted this outside a panel beaters in the northern beaches. Not sure if it’s real but it is LHD and of the right era.

    The Rover P5/P5B

My rover is now with its new owner after a fair uneventful drive over. It joins a stable of 5 other rovers. I wonder if you can guess where?

    The Rover P5/P5B

Picked up a copy of this magazine yesterday. nice overview over the 3 models. Unfortunately not much on the 3 liter model, most focus is on the V8. As you may remember, I own a very rough P5 Coupe. Its been an interesting introduction to the model. My car is too rough for me to do...

    Car of the week

This week's car is the rare 500SLC. These have really jumped in value the last 3 years. At this price it will probably get exported to europe. This particular car is pretty much exactly the spec I would want on one. the later 4 speed transmission, no problematic chrysler sourced...

    Car of the week

This weeks car is chosen for its simply hideous interior. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mooroolbark/cars-vans-utes/mercedes-benz-swap-trade-1979-450slc-v8-pillar-less-coupe-2-door/1143737263

    Car of the week

This weeks car, a 280SE 3.5 W108 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mercedes-Benz-280SE-V8-Factory-Air-Power-Steering-4000-just-spent-on-MERC/173016820968 Looks like a decent car. Price is not cheap, but probably not out of the range of one of these cars. Car is clearly not perfect but looks like a...

    Bob Jane all rounder

Some of you might remember I bought an S211 E350 about 15 months ago. At the time, the car needed rego and the previous owner had to put two new front tyres on to pass. He put on the 'bob jane all rounder' and I can say after less than 10,000km, they are pretty much bald now. Tyre...

    Car of the week

The easiest way to tell when looking at cars for sale online is to look at the instrument cluster as there is an indicator in the speedometer that lights up when the system activates. in the photo above you can see that indicator (square) above the odometer. For when they show the whole...

    Car of the week

This SLC on grays looks interesting. Current bid $6000. Its listed as a 1973, but I estimate it to be a 79 or 80 model. Its an import, so probably a high comp motor too. Can't see rust in the usual places although you would need to get underneath to be sure...

    The Rover P5/P5B

One for Styria, a 3 part publicity video on the launch of the 'new' 3 litre car in the late 50s and some interesting coverage of how it was made: 3WAOUpUUO30 iiq73_KUJgM N79kzwNfUIk The videos are quite an interesting view of how cars were made in the late 50s even if you have little...

    Car of the week

This W123 is a time capsule car with less than 20,000km and apparently history to prove this. I love the colour, pity its a 230 carby, not the best W123 model. Not sure why anyone would have fitted a towbar to a 230! Seller is asking $15k which is probably not unreasonable if the miles...

    The Rover P5/P5B

I put 5l of petrol in my rover last night and it fired right up after not having run for a few months. It had gotten quite low and I didn't want to damage the fuel pump by running the car with no petrol in the tank. I've been impressed with the 3 liter unit - its smooth and has plenty of...
