on my Jaguar 420G the air filter is down on the right hand side mudguard in its own little area like the E type. simp[e and effective.

I have found my 450 d-jet ran quite well on ulp 95 and even normal ulp with no pinging et al. I don't use an additive but occasionally run some injector cleaner to the tankful just a a precaution.

How about a dremel and cut the top of the cover and prise it off? Not the best solution I know but if needs must.

I did (from memory) push it clear of the dash and turned it slightly to clear but used a fair bit of force but it does turn a little.

Bryce I have had much success using a sander (without sandpaper) to encourage the key to turn. The vibrations help move the wafers if the key is worn or the lube has dried up and just a little pressure on the key is all that's needed. Love the spring repair, very clever. Pete

From memory (been a while) there's a button on the steering lock you depress and the whole lot comes out. Then you unscrew the back section (cable section) and you can work on it on the bench. I can't remember if the key needs to be in the 1st or 2nd position to press the button on the locking...

All good Styria. They are easy to replace the lock section so just a case of taking out my existing lock and putting it into the new handle. Could you email me your address so I can send you the money I owe you. I managed to toss out the package before writing it down. Pete
