How did you manage to hold the pad while glueing? You did not remove the bonnet (hood) and placed it on a stand to do that?

Not your average car and certainly not imported in Australia. This E250 CDI is a UK import with factory 6 speed manual. It's been auctioned at Grays in Victoria where I believe it will go for next to nothing.

My W140, while not a 600, is a marvel of engineering! Fitted with the smallest of the V8s my 400SEL feels like riding in a sound proof box. Super quiet, extremely comfortable, you miss not ‘feeling’ the road and your environment.

I think I'll be in town. 🤔 Weather permitting I should be able to come along.
