Speaking to a Ford Engineer (ex UK) about the neutral handling of old British Cars in particular, he advised me to decrease the Camber and add pressure to the Front Tires of my "56 MGA. It lightened the Steering and improved the turn in when cornering. As there is no provision for Camber adjustment on most old British cars short of the use of a Welding Torch, an increase in Front Tire pressure will help. On the old American Fords with independent Front Suspensions there was plenty of provision for adjustment via shims behind the upper wishbones. From 1949 0n the Morris Cars Camber could be adjusted via a shim where the lower control arm bolted to the chassis Rail. The Castor on the earlier Morris Cars had provision to adjust the castor via tapered wedges where the front leaf Springs were bolted to the Axle. This was necessary to fix wheel wobble as the springs settled with age.:) i.e., an increase in Camber
