CLK350 Sat Nav

Greetings,
My 2006 model CLK350 has a CD based Sat Nav. Updated CDs are not available through Mercedes-Benz so the maps are seriously out of date. The story goes that you have to buy a CD for each year at about $300 per CD and if you miss a year, and I have missed many, then the latest CD won't work.
Any suggestions other than fit a Tom Tom? Surely there must be a private market for these....
It's the same unit as in an S Klasse so imagine the frustration of someone owning Mercedes' top model - unable to use the Sat Nav! Pretty yucky customer service.

Call Leon at Soundlabs. Its not true about having to load older CD's before the lastest one.
