Hi, we have a W126 280SE about an 83 model, Australian delivered.
I am trying to resolve an air leak in the central locking, I have all of the door panels off, the carpet out of the way from the fuel cap side as the lock/unlock for the Fuel cap, Boot, and rear doors are not working.
The Front passenger door was not working, I started there, some one had disconnected the air hose from the passenger lifter and placed a screw in it, I have reconnected and now when the drivers door locks the passenger door is locking. The air pump in the spare tyre well is working, the airbox under the parcel shelf doesn't sound to be leaking so has anyone got any suggestions? would it be in one of the rear doors or the fuel cap lock/unlock ? I need to spend more time on it, just wondering if anyone has had similar issues. Unfortunately, I have gotten rid of the 2 spare parts W126's I had, and forgot to remove the air locking mechanisms from the back doors and the fuel cap, boot. Kicking myself.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
