Old habits die slowly, people still love the Badge, makes them feel superior I guess. Logic does not come into it, a seemly fancy Stereo, yes please, and I love the upholstery. Can I drop the Air Bags and the Seat belts, they cost too much !
Our 104 C Class has been trouble free for the past two years, for the first three and a half I was not sure who owned it, me or the Dealership.
I was fortunate at the time that Mercedes owned the Dealership, who persevered over the three years and a half to fix all the issues. As the Manager said, my job is to set an example to all the other Dealerships. The Jury is still out !
Next Car, if there is one will be Korean or a Subaru Liberty 30R.

At the very least he is uncouth and inappropriate; he's probably in breach of Australian anti-vilification legislation and clearly does not like Mercedes-Benz.
It's not objective reporting and relies on hearsay rather than hard core data.
Is there an element of truth in what he is saying? That is entirely a different question.

I knew John Cadogan personally.
I think he has stopped taking his medicine the last few years.
He used to be a respected motoring journalist who has lost it.

I (and most of the automotive industry) don't take much notice of him.
