It is a WO Bentley so indeed it is rare and all WOs are desirable. It is perhaps not as desirable as a larger displacement motor. Note the Weymann style fabric body to reduce weight and oncrease speed.
Prices on the the geuine articles have remained solid against the GFC but it is a surprise to see it on sale at Shannons. Some are going to tender through better known auction houses and some change hands quietly and without to much public knowledge.
The price range is correct but I can't comment on the condition so I would not even guess at the final price it will receive. Many times such cars are put up to auction simply as a means of advertising their availability and they sell later for a private price.
If you want to know more about prices have a look at these two websites: http://www.frankdale.com/ These folk specialise in restored and immaculate vehicles. http://www.realcar.co.uk/ These folk specialise in cars that are usable or may need restoration.
....and I am afraid it is just an old, unattractive car. I know, I know...it's a Bentley and all that, but to my mind there can be no denying that the '30s cars were generally far more attractive cars. The body on this car is....just old and unattractive looking.

In other words, Styria hasn't got a clue about Weymann.
Of course, each to his own. We need to get you out more Mr S - you need some "motoring".

Brian

...well. from what I remember and what I have read 'between the lines' - fabric bodies, and most of the time unattractive. Regarding your last remark, I totally agree. Once all little problems with GB are sorted out, I'll be going full pelt - up and down the highways. Regards Styria
Hi Styria if fabric bodies dont do it for you and the resulting performance ideas behind them. Maybe you should forget about bodies entirely and get one of these http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/
Hi Geoff, I thought you were talking about the Ariel square 4 - that, for the uninitiated, is a motorsickle. Regarding the Atom as per your post, I'm afraid it's just a bit too cold presently. If you take a closer look at the occupants, it seems they are all smiles - Right ? No, wrong ! They are baring their teeth for all and sundry to see how freezing it is despite the brilliant (for England) sunshine. There, that's my take. Regards Styria
N.B. My God, Geoff, what's happening with your 6.9 - you're so quiet about it. (Changing the subject and getting you on a different tack).
Hi Styria nothing at this point in time penny's are being watched by the boss. I have promissed to behave till the end off the year as the twins arrive any time now as we have just reached the 36 week mark . But yes i will get back into it as soon as i can
That Ariel looks like real fun - just the thing for Styria to use until he gets the GB running reliably.
What's the problem with GB Styria? It's years since we have seen it up and running for any length of time.
Regards,
Brian
