water on Brakes

A few weeks ago in a very very heavy downpour with the Road flooding my 107 S L lost a lot of braking power and the Pedal became very soft. As the brakes dried out everything was back to normal i.e., excellent stopping Power. I never experienced this on any other car ever ??? Drum brakes, yes I can understand that. With Discs should not the water wash off with a couple of turns of the wheels ?

Depending on your pads and what they are made of.

If they were drenched and soaked, it might take a little more than a few turns of the wheel; more like a few pumps of the pedal (much like the old drum brakes).

Sean, was this on the day of the GTG ? Maybe a couple of too many refreshments ? :D Regards Styria
