Obviously, I haven't been anywhere near the Villa d'Este concours, nor Pebble Beach for that matter. I don't know what it is, but the Italian event just holds so much more for me in elegance, subdued at that, and the sheer beauty of the area, the hotel and, dare I say it, the cars themselves.

I see the Pebble Beach concours winning Mercedes and honestly, I shudder at the looks of those wheels/hubcaps whatever - they are possibly genuine, and even more so unique, but they just don't look right on the car. So, Villa d'Este it is for me. I wonder if I'll ever get to that, or do I have to wait for Michel to get there and take some real photographs - Michel, maybe this year. Regards Styria
