Looks like they are italian FOMB wheels.

Most of the aftermarket ones I've seen are ATS, so you've got something a bit unique here.

I got lucky seeing this car for sale & suspected the wheels were 15s. I was a little sneaky and asked specifically for the tyre size.... I was very careful not to reveal what I knew to the PO! I even scored some shop manuals in the deal! The car is from Sth Africa as a grey import & is full of rust so not restorable. I paid more than I should’ve but scored with the wheels! It has the original radio, so that’s another bonus! After swapping wheels & removing radio, mudflaps & first aid kit, it’s being thrown into a deal for something else that I’ve been after for a while...

Maybe we can do another drive day and go to a lunch spot to mix things up a bit?

Oh I forgot to mention that car is a W126 280SE with (prob) a high compression M110. I think it does have EGR but I’ll confirm next week.

A drive day would be great but I won’t be able to make it until this time next year... Unless I get a car registered & drive up! Hopefully Dora won’t be far off that!!

What does Dora need to get registered? Must be close if it was able to do the 6.9 drive day a few months back?

Not too much but enough to slow progress....

Change coolant,
Rebuild front brake calipers,
Replace RH tail light,
Replace LF hydro hose,
Replace leads, cap, rotor,
Replace front doors (maybe),
RWC (hopefully nothing major),
Club rego,
GO....

But are Vic Club permits valid in NSW??

I read somewhere (a few years ago, and can't remember the source) that it is only WA that does not reciprocate with the club plates schemes. I have seen Vic club permit cars being driven up for events and not heard any issues. we have a logbook scheme now so I would imagine police would be used to checking the logbook if the car is on club plates.
