Increasing the Turbo Boost does not equate to a Power increase. Apparently increased Boost increases Air Temperature which the Std Inter Cooler cannot cope with. Hot air reduces the air molecules , less oxygen , less Power.
I read that the most effective way to increase the Torque in our C Class CGI engines is to fit a larger inter cooler. The factory unit is just adequate.
A cost benefit exercise by all Manufactures. I have reduced the Boost Controller
settings by 25% in both cars which is giving better driveability.
