It was an absolutely wonderful day to be out.
I was lazy to take lots of pics, so that’s what I have.

Great pics Michel.
Thank you for sharing with us.

I think we can sense your excitement about the E Types?

I’ve always loved E-Types, but I know I’ve missed the boat.
They’re out of my price range.

You’re absolutely right mate.
Many of us are standing on the same dock you are, watching that boat sailing away.
We probably all had an opportunity to own one over the years, but we didn’t.

We would be doing very well now mate.

I see you photographed Frank's Citroen GS. He slides on that fake exhaust tip for conversation at the various car shows. He's also been known to enter the field on three wheels (possible in a hydraulic suspension Citroen). Quite a larrikin.

Yes the ones that got away....... an early 1.5 3.8 E type I bought for $11,000 and sold for $15,000. A SL 230 '64 I bought for $13,000 and sold for $14,000. Both were daily drivers.
I did not like either of them ... The manual Sl was too agricultural ( old cars )
The E Type had a Party Dress and a good Engine but was too much trouble and flimsy. Built down to a price I grant you.
At Shannons the most desirable Car for me was the beautifully restored, mid sixties 3.8 manual O/D Jaguar.
Surely the best Jaguar ever built !
