New timing chain rails - white or off-white?

I was thinking of buying these... because the price is right... however I don't know how old-stock they are. The seller states they are new, and I believe they are, but should they be white or off-white?

Don't want to use them if they are already going brittle from sitting on the parts shop shelf for 30 years...

If they come from a M116/117 motor one must be one of the lower rails because the larger one doesn't look like any I have changed in the past.

The other is possibly one of the uppers - but not sure.

This is an article I posted to the W116 site and the first Photo shows the top three sliders grouped together bottom centre.

They are very white and cheap as chips new - wouldn't bother with some e-bay stuff that might be passed it's use by date.

I collected some new rails last Thursday, they are off white. Ranged in price from around $10 to $50 and that's from an M-B dealer so they are not expensive, even for M100 engine.

I wouldn't worry about age, any new W116 parts will have been sitting on shelf somewhere for 20 years.
