Mudflaps are no longer fitted to the car I removed them yesterday.

They are in the garage waiting to find a new home.

As the 300SE has no rear mudflaps so hence no need for the front mudflaps.

My chrome wheel arch moulds and mudflaps which are in perfect condition. Are going in the bin . As they are being removed for paint job and will not be put back on. And I think that's were they belong and have no value to sell as they are ugly.

My God, that was a quick sale. As they say, the cheaper the price, the quicker you get a sale. BTW, in my opinion the correct mudflaps, and if properly fitted, are a most useful accessory. Wheel Arch moulds do set off a car's lines quite nicely, especially the W116 and W126 chassis cars.

When I bought Gleaming Beauty, she had been fitted with wheel Arch moulds. They were probably just a little tatty, and perhaps somewhat on the wide side. I finished up replacing them, plus more sets over the next few years. In the end, there were so many ugly screw holes which basically forced me into replacing the front guards when Michel's Jerry painted the car. It was a good move. Regards.

N.B. One unfavourable aspect relates to the front moulds on a 6.9. If ever one has a levelling issue with the front suspension, wheel arch moulds will take the brunt of the weight of the car, even if wheels are in the straight ahead position.

I quite like the guard moulds but don't like the idea of drilling holes, or the fact they trap crap which damages the paint and is the precursor to rust.

At least they'll go to an appreciative new owner and not landfill. But I'll stand my ground with W126 plastic hubcaps! What was MB thinking?? Ewww horrible! I seriously doubt even the tip would take em!! You'd probably have to hide them under a family of garden gnomes!!!!!!

My Silver 6.9 had them when I bought it with 15inch steel rims.

Mark , the locally supplied ( ex USA ) are held on by clips. Screws were an option with the Kit
