I'm sorry but I just have to pose the rhetorical question: Who and why, on such a pristine example of Bruno Sacco's design work, saw fit, as is so often the case in Australia and virtually nowhere else except sometimes the USA, to add non-original tacked-on chrome wheel arch trims? At the risk of upsetting some forum readers or contributors, I just don't see it. Nor did the car's creators. They must have been stock-piled by dealers in this country (nowhere else). And they harbour dirt and rust. Try finding one without them, there aren't many. Sorry.

You have to have chrome bumpers? Oh bugger - there goes the ML ....Tim tim tim when will you learn W126 is never going to be a W116 the last real Mercedes sedan if it doesn't have chrome bumpers its only a pretend car.
What am I going to do? Not even a Series 1 Land Rover has chrome bumpers?

Talking of chrome bumpers - I spoke at the weekend to the original owner of my ex-450 that now belongs to Ant. The original owner was decidedly chuffed that the car was still on the road and put to good use.
