Boost Gauge & Steering Wheel

Great way to incorporate a boost gauge into the factory W126 cluster on a turbo 500SEL! And I noticed it also has a late model steering wheel fitted. Anyone know if the splines are the same??

They have done a nice job of things like the updated redline and so on.
I know more modern wheels can go on, but don't know to how far. W124/W126 are interchangeable but that is still pretty old.

I just replaced the wheel with unstiched leather on my 560SEL with one from a 300CE. Is hard to find a leather wheel without airbag!

You can use a late model steering wheel and remove the airbag.
Or buy one that's popped from the wreckers.

Problem is that at least on the 80s cars, you can't use the nicer cover, as the middle of the wheels are different. It will bolt up though.

You might try and modify one to adapt.
