While searching for a parking spot at Bondi Junction Westfield (I am test driving a new E250 CGI sedan) I found a spot near this nice Pagoda.
(and the new E Class is divine)

Excuse the poor quality picture from the iPhone.

Good morning Michel,

New E250 CGI looks terrific!

I test drove the 2011 E250 CDI last month what a beautiful car it was worth $120,000!

Beautiful Pagoda you are parked alongside Michel.

They are both very elegant to look at. Notice how close the Pagoda is parked to the wall in the interests of self preservation !...I am talking about car park damage. Incidentally, talking about parking - whenever possible, I try and park any car as far away as possible from other car park users. On a number of occasions, I'd park in a sparsely used area, with heaps of room on either side - at least ten cars' width on each side, only to find on my return that some 'bugger' parked right alongside my car. What were they thinking ? Just "nongs" ? I've never been able to figure it out. Regards Styria

... re test drives, last weekend we took our 6.9 to Garry Crick Automotive (MB Dealer in Maroochydore) (ie. "the old") to take opportunity to test drive new R172 SLK200 (Palladium Silver with AMG package). Wow! The latter being "the new". Selecting full manual with paddle shift heaps of fun - excellent drive. The night before we were invited to the launch of the R172, the new C204 C250 coupe and also the newest CLS63AMG. The bark of its exhaust is nothing short of pornographic! To top it off, Garry's $545,000 SLS AMG is also on the showroom floor. It's a great dealership, very modern and purpose-built, and recently hosted a 200 head sit-down dinner for the MB Club of Qld.

Garry is a classic fan too and has an immaculate Pagoda on display as well as a marvelous Petrol Green C123-280CE - mint, and a tidy W123 too as well as a W114 250 in elfenbein.

They all appreciated the Blattenhauser, our much-loved 6.9.

I am in Taree tonight on way back to Sunny Coast with our W168 A190 - going well on the 1100km drive too.

BTW, I called in to the Classic Throttle Shop while very briefly in Sydney this week and they have a mint signalrot (resprayed, total resto) 300SL Gullwing - $775,000. If you're in Sydney - don't miss the opportunity to see it!

Styria - sorry I was not able to see you this trip but back in Sydney again within weeks and will call you.

Regards to all.

Well, I need to admit that I have done this reasonably frequently, in suitable spots. Whenever possible, also, I try to park as close as possible to the concrete pillars as they provide protection from indiscriminately opened doors on the closed side, and it enables me to park away as far as possible from cars parked next to me on the 'open' side. Thus, I have been lucky - no small 'parking' dents and no shopping trolley scrapes. Regards Styria

Styria, don't you know that cars get lonely too? That's why like to group together in the carpark, while you're away???? :D
