6.9 Europe Sale

Thanks to Tim's efforts, I am posting details of this 6.9 for sale - in Germany, I believe, at a price comfortably above 100K. Euros. Very nicely kept car, with striking black or anthracite grey carpet. We should take note of the price, and condition of course - maybe we should not let our cars go too cheaply.

Several good pictures - I do have a query, hoping that someone can help. In picture 6/13, on the gearbox console, there is a single green light cluster - does anyone know its function ? I have never seen that light on any 6.9 except, believe it or not, there is one on Gleaming Beauty. I do remember the conditions under which it operated - it would flash momentarily when the indicators were activated. Any further thoughts ? Mine is not working at the moment - when I carried out some major dash work, I could find no wire or switch that could, and should be used. Help ! Regards Styria

Eye opener ? I realize Australia is a harsh country, on a number of fronts, but just look at the 6.3s and, in my opinion, not a superior car to the 6.9. Mind you, there is something about the frontal styling of the 108/109,111 - it's the dip from the bonnet to the sides of the front guard. The 116s don't have it - so maybe there is one reason ? Also, drove an LPG powered 6.3 the other day - there is just something that define the characteristics of the 109 6.3s in engine and exhaust noise, the way the 6.3 accelerates a bit like a Diesel locomotive - again nothing to do with extra power, I don't think it has anything to do with gearing - they are just different. I could liken the difference to an Australian specced 6.9 and one that comes from Europe/England with the high compression engine. Just my observations. Regards Styria
