Hi Des, it's all very simple and money-making orientated. When over here some three years ago during the occasion of Mercedes Classic days, the outlet that was marketing MB products was absolutely flooded with 'trinket' purchases - no wonder the free wine was flowing freely.

I walked away with the best value (!) and cheapest commodity for sale- a dynamo type of torch. Nicely made, works well for a very short period of time.

I called in again the other day to have a 'really good look' if you get the drift. The guy asked me twice if he could help, or if I was looking for anything in particular and after answering him courteously the first time, the second time around I asked him if I could advise him if I was ready to buy anything. I was left alone after that and walked out happily after perusing some essentially overpriced products. Regards Styria

Second that... I visited the F1 shop in Melbourne about 18months ago. I wanted to get something nice MB.. after checking the prices and seeing a t-shirt was $70. I ended up getting me a nice lanyard (round the neck keyholder thing) for $25.. Seemed the best value. Still, very overpriced.
I say go to paddy's markets...you can get some really good made MB jackets and shirts etc for a good price. Just gotta look for the really well made stuff, the bodgy stuff is REALLY bodgy.

When you consider they would land the T shirts for about $15 from China, and less than $2 for a lanyard....
That's why I print promotional products and merchandise!!!:D

All you need is for a visit to the markets in Thailand or Ssingapore or Kuala Lumpur and you'll pick all you want (Ferrari, MB, Porsche, etc...) for next to nothing
